Bride's First Choice DJ's Answer Questions Asked by Brides and Grooms

Our DJ's Work with You to Give You What You Desire on Your Wedding Day

Are you insured?

Yes. BFC is fully insured. That means there will be no worries if Uncle Joey decides to show off a dance step he once performed decades back, missteps, and takes the Nestea plunge into one of the speakers. Good insurance is not inexpensive, and many amateur DJ's claim to have insurance but do not. For your protection, please ask to see the Insurance Binder before you hire a Disc Jockey. No reputable DJ will have any problem providing it. We always have a complete back up DJ system.

Do you have a back up DJ in the event you get sick etc.?

Yes, A member of the Connecticut Professional Disc Jockey Association. This is an organization who enforces CT DJ standards. It also provideds members with a quality back up incase of an emergency through the association.

What kind of DJ sound system do you use?

The DJ Systems are all state of the art and are built into attractive cabinets. They pack enough clarity and punch to fill a civic center with incredible sound. However, we guarantee the music volume will always be comfortable for you and your guests. People will not have to yell at each other when they talk. We also promise you'll never hear the ear breaking feedback that amateur DJ's fight with. A wireless microphone is used for mobility for special toasts and presentations which result in more photo opportunities for your photographer. There are back up DJ Systems on site, including a second cordless microphone. We take no chances. These extra systems can be used for ceremonies andoutdoor cocktail hours if needed.

How large is your music library?

How The days of the turntable is gone. Our music library plays off something called PC DJ. It is a terrific professional music program that enables your DJ to locate music fast and search for requests with ease. You'll never have to worry about your favorite song skipping in the middle. All the music is also on site on CD for  back up. We take no chances.

What is your normal dress or attire?

BFC dresses to suit your needs, as again, it’s your special day. That means tuxedos, gowns or Hawaiian shirts.

Do we have to do specialty dances?

Absolutely not. Together, we will customize your dances to make certain that your vision becomes our vision.

Do you have a large advertising sign or banner that my guests will see?

No. This is extremely tacky. Our work speaks for itself. If people are happy with our service and approach us, we’ll be happy to provide them with a business card. The best advertising is word of mouth. BFC realizes that no one wants a cheap, gawdy banner unwittingly made forever a part of your wedding video.

What if I want some music that I don’t really thinks fits

There is a time and a place for every song. That is our specialty knowing what moment each song fits into.

Do you take requests?

Absolutely! However, if the appropriateness of any song that is requested causes the slightest doubt about whether it’s right for your day, I’ll check with you before it‘s played. You can even provide us with a “no play” list ahead of time. If something is requested from your no-play list I simply tell the guest we don’t have it. If we said “well they don’t want it played”, then they are bothering you to get it played. You don’t need that aggravation.

Do we have to do all the traditional wedding things: garter, bouquet, cake, introduction etc.?

No. So, you’re not too excited about the prospect of the Chicken Dance yet again? No problem here. Together, we customize your day so it plays out exactly as you want it to. We combine our extensive experience with your imagination so that your guests leave thinking about what a great reception you've provided. Who wants to be like everyone else, anyway? Don’t be afraid to show some originality.

Are we required to feed you?

Food is appreciated if offered, but is never required.

Do you have hard-to-find recordings and music?

Yes we do. One of the benefits of working in radio is that we have widespread access to all types of music.

Do you smoke or drink?

Absolutely do not under any circumstances.
